AP3B1

Description

The AP3B1 gene provides instructions for making a protein that is part of a protein complex called adaptor protein 3 (AP-3). This complex plays a crucial role in the trafficking of proteins and other molecules within cells, particularly directing them to lysosomes, which are cellular recycling centers. AP-3B1 mutations can disrupt this process, leading to various health problems.

Associated Diseases

Did you know?
