The ADO (2-aminoethanethiol dioxygenase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

ADO, or ADO, is a gene that encodes the enzyme 2-aminoethanethiol dioxygenase, also known as Cysteamine dioxygenase.

ADO (2-aminoethanethiol dioxygenase) plays a critical role in thiol metabolism and oxygen homeostasis. It oxidizes the sulfur of cysteamine and N-terminal cysteine-containing proteins, converting them to their corresponding sulfinic acids using O2. This includes the oxidation of cysteamine to hypotaurine, as well as regulators of G-protein signaling 4 (RGS4) and 5 (RGS5) and interleukin-32 (IL32).

ADO is also known as C10orf22.
