Description

The ARHGEF3 (Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

ARHGEF3, also known as Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) 3, is a human gene involved in cellular processes initiated by extracellular stimuli. The protein encoded by ARHGEF3 may form a complex with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signals. It is similar to the NET1A protein. ARHGEF3 has been shown to interact with RHOA and RHOB.

ARHGEF3 acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA and RhoB GTPases, playing a role in regulating their activity.

ARHGEF3 is also known as GEF3, STA3, XPLN.
