Description

The BANK1 (B cell scaffold protein with ankyrin repeats 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

Plays a role in the release of calcium ions from internal stores within B cells, a process triggered by the B-cell receptor (BCR). It facilitates the phosphorylation of IP3 receptors 1 and 2 by the Lyn kinase.
