Description

The BSX (brain specific homeobox) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

BSX is a human gene. It is not related to any of the following: Bendigo Stock Exchange, Bermuda Stock Exchange, Boston Scientific, or Satellaview.

BSX is a DNA-binding protein that acts as a transcriptional activator. It plays a critical role in normal postnatal development, including proper growth and nursing. Additionally, BSX is essential for the function of neuronal neuropeptide Y and agouti-related peptide, impacting locomotory behavior and the regulation of energy balance.

BSX is also known as BSX1.
