CCR10
Description
The CCR10 (C-C motif chemokine receptor 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.
CCR10 is a chemokine receptor encoded by the CCR10 gene in humans. Chemokines are small molecules that regulate cell trafficking and play important roles in the immune system. CCR10 is a member of the CC chemokine receptor subfamily, which binds to chemokines CCL27 and CCL28. CCR10 is expressed by melanocytes, plasma cells, and skin-homing T cells. It plays a role in directing metastasis of melanoma cells and in T cell-mediated skin inflammation. CCR10-CCL27 interactions are involved in T cell-mediated skin inflammation.
CCR10 is also known as GPR2.
