Description

The CMC1 (C-X9-C motif containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

CMC1 is a component of the MITRAC (mitochondrial translation regulation assembly intermediate of cytochrome c oxidase complex) complex, which plays a role in regulating the assembly of cytochrome c oxidase.

CMC1 is also known as C3orf68, cmc1p.
