The CMIP (c-Maf inducing protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.
CMIP can refer to C-Maf-inducing protein (c-Mip), also known as Truncated c-Maf-inducing protein.
CMIP plays a crucial role in T-cell signaling, with isoform 2 specifically involved in T-helper 2 (Th2) signaling. It acts as an early signal transducer connecting the T-cell receptor to the activation of c-Maf, a key factor in Th2 cell development.
CMIP is also known as TCMIP.
