CRNN
Description
The CRNN (cornulin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
CRNN promotes cell proliferation by driving cells through the G1/S phase of the cell cycle, a process mediated by its ability to induce expression of the cell cycle regulator CCND1. This protein also plays a role in regulating cell proliferation in response to inflammation by activating the NFKB1 and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways.
CRNN is also known as C1orf10, DRC1, PDRC1, SEP53.
