DCP1B is a protein encoded by the DCP1B gene in humans. It is involved in mRNA degradation.

DCP1B is involved in mRNA degradation, participating in both normal mRNA turnover and nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. It removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA molecules, generating a 5'-phosphorylated mRNA fragment and 7m-GDP.
