KLHL7

Description

The KLHL7 (kelch like family member 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

Kelch-like protein 7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLHL7 gene.

KLHL7 acts as a substrate-specific adapter within a BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. This complex facilitates ubiquitination, leading to the degradation of specific target proteins. KLHL7 likely mediates 'Lys-48'-linked ubiquitination.

KLHL7 is also known as CISS3, KLHL6, PERCHING, SBBI26.
