Description

The LDHD (lactate dehydrogenase D) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

LDHD is involved in the breakdown of D-lactate, a stereoisomer of lactate, but does not play a role in the breakdown of L-lactate.

LDHD is also known as DLACD, DLD.
