LMAN2L
Description
The LMAN2L (lectin, mannose binding 2 like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.
The LMAN2L gene in humans produces the VIP36-like protein.
The LMAN2L gene product may play a role in controlling the movement of specific glycoproteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to other parts of the cell. It may also act as a regulator of the protein ERGIC-53, which is involved in protein trafficking.
LMAN2L is also known as MRD69, MRT52, VIPL.
