IQCD

Description

The IQCD (IQ motif containing D) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

IQCD is part of the nexin-dynein regulatory complex (N-DRC), which plays a crucial role in controlling the movement of cilia and flagella. The N-DRC ensures the proper arrangement and structural integrity of the distal axoneme, the microtubule-based structure within cilia and flagella. It also regulates the sliding of microtubules within these structures, enabling their movement.

IQCD is also known as 4933433C09Rik, CFAP84, DRC10.
