KCNRG

Description

The KCNRG (potassium channel regulator) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

KCNRG, also known as Potassium channel regulator, is a protein encoded by the KCNRG gene. It is a soluble protein that forms hetero-tetramers with voltage-gated K+ channels and inhibits their function. KCNRG is predominantly expressed in lung tissue, but also found in liver and other tissues. It is an autoantigen in autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome type 1 (APS1), which may explain respiratory disease in some APS1 patients. KCNRG may also be connected to asthma and chronic bronchitis.

KCNRG is also known as DLTET.
