KIR3DX1

Description

The KIR3DX1 (killer cell immunoglobulin like receptor, three Ig domains X1 (pseudogene)) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 19.

KIR3DX1 is a pseudogene located on chromosome 19. It is a non-functional copy of the KIR3DL1 gene, which encodes a receptor protein expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and some T cells. Pseudogenes are often created by mutations that disrupt the gene's ability to produce a functional protein.

KIR3DX1 is a member of the killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) family. KIRs are expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and some T cells, and they play a role in the regulation of immune responses. KIR3DX1 is a pseudogene, meaning that it is a non-functional copy of a gene. Pseudogenes are often created by mutations that disrupt the gene's ability to produce a functional protein. The KIR3DX1 pseudogene is thought to have arisen from the KIR3DL1 gene.

KIR3DX1 is also known as KIR3DL0, LENG12.
