Description

The KRT28 (keratin 28) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

KRT28 is a gene that encodes a keratin protein.

KRT28 is essential for the proper assembly of types I and II keratin protein complexes and the formation of keratin intermediate filaments within the inner root sheath (IRS).

KRT28 is also known as K25IRS4, KRT25D.
