LARP4
Description
The LARP4 (La ribonucleoprotein 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
LARP4 is a protein encoded by the LARP4 gene in humans. It's an RNA-binding protein with a La motif (LaM), RNA recognition motif (RRM), and a potential PABP binding motif. LARP4 is involved in mRNA stability and has been shown to regulate cancer cell migration and invasion by altering cell shape. It's also considered a glioma tumor suppressor.
LARP4 is an RNA-binding protein that interacts with the poly-A tail of mRNA molecules, associates with the 40S ribosomal subunit and polysomes, and regulates mRNA translation. It also plays a role in regulating cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization.
