The LCE1B (late cornified envelope 1B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE1B proteins are precursors to the cornified envelope, a tough, protective layer found in the outermost layer of skin (stratum corneum).

LCE1B is also known as LEP2, SPRL2A.
