Description

The LCE2A (late cornified envelope 2A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE2A proteins are precursors of the cornified envelope, a tough, protective layer found in the outermost layer of skin (stratum corneum).

LCE2A is also known as LEP9.
