The LCE2B (late cornified envelope 2B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE2B proteins are building blocks for the cornified envelope, a tough protective layer found in the outermost skin layer (stratum corneum).

LCE2B is also known as LEP10, SPRL1B, XP5.
