Description

The LCE2D (late cornified envelope 2D) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE2D proteins are precursors of the cornified envelope, a tough, protective layer found in the stratum corneum of the skin.

LCE2D is also known as LEP12, SPRL1A.
