Description

The LCE4A (late cornified envelope 4A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LCE4A proteins are precursors to the cornified envelope, a tough outer layer of the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of skin).

LCE4A is also known as LEP8, SPRL4A.
