LRRC25

Description

The LRRC25 (leucine rich repeat containing 25) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

LRRC25, also known as Leucine-rich repeat containing 25, is a protein encoded by the LRRC25 gene in humans.

LRRC25 is involved in suppressing the RLR-mediated type I interferon signaling pathway by targeting RIGI for degradation through autophagy. Specifically, LRRC25 interacts with ISG15-associated RIGI, facilitating the interaction between RIGI and the autophagic cargo receptor p62/SQSTM1, ultimately leading to RIGI degradation via selective autophagy. Additionally, LRRC25 inhibits the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway and inflammatory response by promoting the degradation of p65/RELA.

LRRC25 is also known as MAPA.
