MLLT4

Description

MLLT4, also known as AF4, is a gene that encodes a protein involved in the regulation of gene expression. It plays a critical role in hematopoiesis, the process of blood cell development. MLLT4 is commonly involved in chromosomal translocations, particularly in acute leukemia, where it fuses with the MLL gene, creating a chimeric protein that contributes to uncontrolled cell growth and leukemia development.
