The NLN (neurolysin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

NLN is a human gene that encodes a protein called Neurolysin, mitochondrial.

NLN breaks down small proteins called oligopeptides, including neurotensin, bradykinin, and dynorphin A. It also plays a role in regulating the cannabinoid signaling pathway by breaking down hemopressin, a molecule that blocks the cannabinoid receptor CNR1.

NLN is also known as AGTBP, EP24.16, MEP, MOP.
