NRBP1 is a human gene that encodes the nuclear receptor-binding protein.
NRBP1 plays a vital role in embryonic development and contributes to the regulation of intestinal epithelial cell fate and proliferation, potentially influencing intestinal architecture through its interaction with Wnt-responsive genes. It may be involved in subcellular trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus by interacting with Rho-type GTPases. However, its binding to the dengue virus type 2 NS3 protein can alter the intracellular membrane structure associated with viral replication.
