OCIAD1

Description

The OCIAD1 (OCIA domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

OCIAD1 maintains stem cell potency, possibly by regulating signaling pathways. It increases STAT3 phosphorylation, controls ERK phosphorylation, and may act as a scaffold to enhance STAT3 recruitment to endosomes. This protein is involved in integrin-mediated cancer cell adhesion and colony formation in ovarian cancer.

OCIAD1 is also known as ASRIJ, OCIA, TPA018.
