Description

The ONECUT3 (one cut homeobox 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

ONECUT3 acts as a transcriptional activator. It binds to specific DNA sequences known as ‘consensus sequences,‘ specifically the sequence 5‘-DHWATTGAYTWWD-3‘. This binding occurs on a range of gene promoters, including those responsible for HNF3B and TTR gene expression.

ONECUT3 is also known as OC3.
