OTUD6A

Description

The OTUD6A (OTU deubiquitinase 6A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

OTUD6A acts as a deubiquitinating enzyme, capable of breaking down various types of polyubiquitin chains attached to proteins. Specifically, it can hydrolyze 'Lys-27'-, 'Lys-29'-, and 'Lys-33'-linked polyubiquitin chains, as well as 'Lys-11'-linked ubiquitin chains. This process helps regulate the stability and function of proteins by removing ubiquitin tags.

OTUD6A is also known as DUBA2, HSHIN6.
