TRAFD1
Description
The TRAFD1 (TRAF-type zinc finger domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
TRAFD1, encoded by the TRAFD1 gene in humans, is a protein containing a TRAF-type zinc finger domain.
TRAFD1 acts as a negative feedback regulator, controlling excessive innate immune responses. It regulates both the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and DDX58/RIG1-like helicases (RLH) pathways. TRAFD1 might inhibit the LTR pathway through direct interaction with TRAF6 and by attenuating NF-kappa-B activation. It may also negatively regulate the RLH pathway downstream of MAVS and upstream of NF-kappa-B and IRF3.
