EPGN

Description

The EPGN (epithelial mitogen) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

EPGN, also known as epithelial mitogen, is a protein encoded by the EPGN gene in humans. It belongs to the epidermal growth factor family, which plays a crucial role in cell survival, proliferation, and migration. EPGN exhibits high mitogenic activity, promoting cell growth, but it has a low affinity for its receptor. EPGN expression has been observed in cancer specimens of the breast, bladder, and prostate.

EPGN is also known as ALGV3072, EPG, PRO9904.
