RGR

Description

The RGR (retinal G protein coupled receptor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

RGR, or Retinal G protein-coupled Receptor, is a human gene. The gene encodes a protein that serves as a receptor for both all-trans- and 11-cis-retinal, but shows a stronger affinity for the former. It is believed to catalyze the isomerization of the chromophore through a process similar to retinochrome.

RGR is also known as RP44.
