  • Hepatic fibrosis: A condition in which the liver becomes scarred due to chronic inflammation. FLVCR1-AS1 inhibits the progression of hepatic fibrosis by suppressing cell death and promoting cell regeneration.
  • Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC): The most common type of liver cancer. FLVCR1-AS1 is downregulated in HCC, contributing to tumor growth and metastasis.
