PLRG1

Description

The PLRG1 (pleiotropic regulator 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

PLRG1 (Pleiotropic regulator 1) is a protein encoded by the PLRG1 gene in humans.

PLRG1 is involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It is part of the PRP19-CDC5L complex, essential for activating pre-mRNA splicing. PLRG1 also participates in the minor spliceosome, likely involved in splicing U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs.

PLRG1 is also known as Cwc1, PRL1, PRP46, PRPF46, TANGO4.
