Description

The PPP1R13L (protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 13 like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

PPP1R13L is a protein that is encoded by the PPP1R13L gene in humans. It is known as the RelA-associated inhibitor.

PPP1R13L plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis and transcription by interacting with NF-kappa-B and p53/TP53 proteins. It inhibits the transcription of HIV-1 virus by blocking the activity of both NF-kappa-B and SP1. Additionally, it inhibits p53/TP53 function, potentially by preventing the association between p53/TP53 and ASPP1 or ASPP2, ultimately suppressing the activation of apoptosis.

PPP1R13L is also known as ARCME, CMAEA, IASPP, NKIP1, RAI, RAI4.
