Description

The RAX2 (retina and anterior neural fold homeobox 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

RAX2 plays a role in regulating the activity of genes specific to photoreceptor cells. It achieves this by attaching to specific regions within the rhodopsin promoter, known as the Ret-1 and Bat-1 elements.

RAX2 is also known as ARMD6, CORD11, QRX, RAXL1, RP95.
