RIT2
Description
The RIT2 (Ras like without CAAX 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.
RIT2 is a protein encoded by the RIT2 gene in humans. It belongs to the RAS superfamily of small GTPases and has been associated with Parkinson's disease. Studies suggest RIT2 interacts with interferon-γ signaling. RIT2 has been shown to interact with POU4F1.
RIT2 binds and exchanges GTP and GDP. It also binds and modulates the activation of POU4F1, a gene expression regulator.
RIT2 is also known as RIBA, RIN, ROC2.
