Description

The SECTM1 (secreted and transmembrane 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

SECTM1 (Secreted and transmembrane protein 1) is a human gene that encodes a transmembrane and secreted protein with characteristics of a type 1a transmembrane protein. This protein is located in a perinuclear Golgi-like pattern and is thought to be involved in processes related to the hematopoietic and/or immune systems.

SECTM1 may play a role in signaling within thymocytes.

SECTM1 is also known as K12, SECTM.
