Description

The SHC4 (SHC adaptor protein 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

SHC4 plays a role in cell migration in melanomas, activating both Ras-dependent and Ras-independent pathways. It also contributes to the early stages of tyrosine phosphorylation of CHRNB1, a process triggered by agrin.

SHC4 is also known as RaLP, SHCD.
