TADA3
Description
The TADA3 (transcriptional adaptor 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.
TADA3 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by participating in several protein complexes involved in histone acetylation. It is a component of the PCAF complex, which acetylates histones efficiently in a nucleosomal context, akin to the yeast SAGA complex. TADA3 also acts as a coactivator for p53-dependent transcriptional activation. Furthermore, it is a part of the ATAC complex, which possesses histone acetyltransferase activity targeting histones H3 and H4.
