Description

The THNSL2 (threonine synthase like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

Isoform 1 of THNSL2 acts as a catabolic phospho-lyase, breaking down both gamma- and beta-phosphorylated substrates. It specifically degrades O-phospho-threonine (PThr) into alpha-ketobutyrate, ammonia, and phosphate.

THNSL2 is also known as SOFAT, THS2, TSH2.
