TLL1

Description

The TLL1 (tolloid like 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

Tolloid-like protein 1 is a protein encoded by the TLL1 gene in humans. It is a zinc-dependent metalloprotease belonging to the astacin-like family, specifically the metzincin family. A similar protein in mice is essential for heart development and is known to process procollagen C-propeptides and chordin at specific cleavage sites.

TLL1 is also known as ASD6, TLL.
