SNORD97

Description

The SNORD97 (small nucleolar RNA, C/D box 97) is a snoRNA gene located on chromosome 11.

SNORD97 is a small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) that is involved in the modification of other RNAs. It is thought to guide the methylation of uridines (U) to pseudouridines (Ξ¨) in ribosomal RNA (rRNA). SNORD97 does not encode a protein. It is a non-coding RNA.

SNORD97 is also known as U97.
