WIPF2

Description

The WIPF2 (WAS/WASL interacting protein family member 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

WIPF2 (WAS/WASL-interacting protein family member 2) is a protein encoded by the WIPF2 gene in humans. It is a WASP-interacting protein (WIP)-related protein that plays a role in the WASP-mediated organization of the actin cytoskeleton. WIPF2 is a potential link between the activated platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) and the actin polymerization machinery.

WIPF2 is also known as WICH, WIRE.
