The ZNF346 (zinc finger protein 346) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

Zinc finger protein 346 is a protein encoded by the ZNF346 gene in humans. It is a nucleolar zinc finger protein that preferentially binds to double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) or RNA/DNA hybrids, rather than DNA alone. The zinc finger domains are crucial for both dsRNA binding and nucleolar localization. ZNF346 may play a role in cell growth and survival.

ZNF346 binds with low affinity to double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) and single-stranded RNA (ssRNA), but binds with high affinity to double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), exhibiting no detectable sequence specificity. It may also bind to specific microRNA (miRNA) hairpins.

ZNF346 is also known as JAZ, Zfp346.
