ZNRF4

Description

The ZNRF4 (zinc and ring finger 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

ZNRF4 functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, acting as a negative regulator of NOD2 signaling by mediating ubiquitination and degradation of RIPK2. It also catalyzes ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of CANX within the endoplasmic reticulum. ZNRF4 may play a role in spermatogenesis.

ZNRF4 is also known as RNF204, SPERIZIN, Ssrzf1, spzn.
